I haz agent

Oh yes I do.

Yesterday I had a very pleasant, utterly surreal conversation with the absurdly pleasant Howard Morhaim, and he's agreed to take me and my novel, on.

Squee.

There's definitely work to be done before it's ready to send out, but he has pointed me in all the right directions and it was cool to get back to it, like visiting a friend I haven't seen in a while.  And chopping parts out of him.

OK, that metaphor doesn't work.

But, yes.  Still grappling with this.  The concept of having an agent doesn't really seem in my head right now.

I wanted also to say a public thank you to Jeff and Ann Vandermeer (especially Ann, I am told by her husband), who put my manuscript in front of Mr Morhaim, and generally  said nice things about it to him and to me.  This wouldn't have happened without them.  Shower them with pleasant things.

Also, my wife, my first reader, as ever, RULES.

You know, Mr. Woods, they say good things come in threes . . .

Congratulations, man. Your work is well-deserved of an agent.

Very kind, sir.

Btw, I don't think I ever got round to telling you how ridiculously cool the Cthulhu comic you're working on looks. Because it does.
